HISPASAT has become a partner of United Nations Global Compact.

The United Nations Global Compact operates in Spain through the Global Compact Network Spain, which currently has 2,600 entities participating in this initiative of corporate social responsibility, of which 12% are large companies, 72% are SMEs and 16% are other types of entities (third sector, trade unions / business associations and educational institutions).

Since its birth, the Global Compact Network Spain has been one of the leading national platforms of the U.N. Global Compact, and is the Local Network with the largest number of signatories. Its management model and organisational structure are among the most advanced in the Global Compact, and the local network also stands out due to the types of activities and tools that have been developed to aid in the implementation of the 10 Principles of the Global Compact among the signatories for business sustainability and sustainable development.

The 10 Principles of the Global Compact are derived from United Nations declarations in the areas of human rights, work, environment and anticorruption, and are backed by universal consensus.
