In this edition, the Meeting focuses on the importance of the ICT sector and of the value added by these technologies when they contribute to the Spanish economy, since both are key elements for development in innovation and for the growth of companies and social wellbeing.

The HISPASAT Group carries out an important role on both sides of the Atlantic in the reduction of the digital gap through its wide range of solutions and services via satellite, among which the distribution of digital radio and television (with DTH, high definition and 3D platforms) stand out, aside from offering governmental services, telephony, corporate networks, videoconference, backhaul cellular, Internet access and multimedia and IP solutions.

In addition, HISPASAT offers, through the Hispasat 1E satellite, advanced broadband services in municipalities in the entire Spanish territory which until now lacked Internet or had low speed access. This service, which consolidates universal access to Internet in Spain, makes HISPASAT the absolute leader in the broadband satellite residential market in this country.

The meeting, which will be presented by José Manuel de Riva, president of AMETIC, and Enrique Sánchez de León, general manager of APD, will be inaugurated by Engracia Hidalgo Tena, State Secretary for Employment, and will also feature the participation of well-known speakers in the sector.
