The Spanish operator carries out a satellite videoconference from its control center in Madrid, so that the explorers from Panama may communicate with their families.

HISPASAT has been 10 years providing broadband communications to the organization, the participants in the expedition and the journalists during their tour through Latin American lands.

This morning, satellite control center HISPASAT in Arganda del Rey (Madrid) has received the relatives of the explorers of the Ruta Quetzal BBVA 2013, and has  connected itself with the young people who currently are in Panama, through a satellite live videoconference, through the Spanish operator.

HISPASAT Operations Manager, Pedro Luis Molinero, was in charge of receiving the half a hundred relatives who went to the center, and could speak with the explorers and see them in real time, and how they are living this experience.

HISPASAT has been accompanying the Ruta Quetzal BBVA for 10 years, and has facilitated the communications of the organization, the participants and the media that accompany them, serving as a bridge of communication between Spain and Latin America. The company's technology solution is an excellent example of the advantages of the satellite as a technology partner that meets the needs of transmission in areas with geographical difficulties and lack of other communication infrastructures, while highlighting the advanced features of the broadband solutions offered by HISPASAT with transportable systems.

In addition, the Ruta Quetzal BBVA is a project of great value to HISPASAT as a result of cultural and educational exchange meaning and its scope of coverage -the American continent.
