Hispast 1D

The Hispasat 1D satellite is located within the 30º West orbital window. It incorporates 28 Ku-band transponders to the HISPASAT satellite system. Its fundamental objective is to maintain the civil missions (in the Ku-band) offered through the 1A and 1B satellites located at 30º West, running and by doing so, maintaining the services offered to existing clients.

Hispasat 1D brings the additional capacity growth of 6 transponders with American and Trans Atlantic connectivity, to be able to respond to the market segment in which demand for the 30º West orbital position is expected to grow.

Within this line of activity, note should be taken of the decision to incorporate a beam over the Middle East to the 1D satellite’s coverage zone, providing our American and European clients (and vice versa) access to Asian satellites via a double link, and as such nearly achieving global coverage.
