CEO of HispaSat
Dear shareholders.
Throughout its more than 35 years of history, HispaSat has been able to position itself as a profitable and relevant player in the international arena, without forgetting its original mission as a driver of the Spanish industry.
Today the world looks to space and to the possibilities that this field holds for enhancing our security and strengthening our strategic autonomy.
For this reason, the business opportunities of our company are expanding and reinforce our commitment to the development and strategic interests of our country and our allies.
The takeover of HispaSat by INDRA Group comes at just the right time.
A new chapter begins for us, coordinated with a technology and defense group that is immersed in a growth plan in which space is one of its pillars.
HispaSat clearly complements the capabilities of INDRA Group in the space sector. And that will result in our approach to the market being far more attractive and complete for governments, telecom operators, large corporations and residential customers.
This new stage requires the definition of a new strategic plan that responds to the demands of our clients and the ever-changing global landscape.
As with the previous ones, this new plan, on which we have already begun working with determination, will be coordinated with the controlling shareholder’s plan, and also aligned with our status as a strategic company for Spain.
The work that the HispaSat team has carried out in recent years has turned this company into a flexible organization unafraid to take on new tasks and optimize existing ones with enthusiasm and an open mind.
Therefore, I believe the company is fully prepared to take on the new challenges that lie ahead of us.
Pedro Duque
President of HispaSat
The technological transformation our sector has been experiencing for years, together with the complex geopolitical landscape surrounding us, have positioned space as a key sector for the future.
In an environment of great uncertainty, it is very important to have a broad vision and the determination to commit to growth and to the need to innovate in every aspect of the business in order to remain competitive.
In this highly complex landscape, HispaSat has maintained during fiscal year 2025 a strong performance, in which we achieved 212.1 million euros in revenue and 136.5 million in EBITDA.
These results are the outcome of a HispaSat in continuous transformation, which has led us to move beyond being a pure satellite operator to become, in an increasingly demanding environment, a multi-orbit satellite services provider.
Furthermore, as members of the SpaceRise consortium, we are at the forefront of the programme set to redefine the European space sector: IRIS².
During this first year of the programme, the activity of the consortium, in collaboration with the European Commission and the European Space Agency, has been very intense.
HispaSat, together with the other members of the consortium, is fully committed to the need for the European Union and its member states to have, as soon as possible, a sovereign secure satellite communications system.
And with this in mind, we are already facing a crucial year, which will be 2026.
In parallel, we have continued our work on expanding cellular networks and bridging the digital divide in Latin America. We are providing connectivity to more than 1,000 schools in Ecuador, thanks to the power of our Amazonas Nexus satellite.
We also continue to work with numerous governments in the region to define the best solution for their satellite connectivity needs.
All of this represents both a challenge and an opportunity. This is the spirit I bring to leading this company.
I am convinced that in this new chapter ahead for HispaSat, we will continue to work with an innovative spirit and flexibility in the face of new challenges, to deliver the best possible response to our clients.
