More than 35 speakers from major aerospace companies and telecommunications worldwide to discuss innovation and efficiency in the satellite business.
HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator is organising the “VI Meeting on Space Communications” at the International University Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) in Santander on the 24th and 25th of June. This year the focus is on “The Challenge of Efficiency in the Satellite Business: The Path of Innovation”. The main companies in the space sector, both Spanish and international, are meeting to discuss the issue from different perspectives offered by the satellite industry.
Over six working sessions the first space telecommunications executives (launchers, manufacturers and operators) along with government representatives will discuss the importance of innovation in aerospace as well as proposals to trend in the sector and the challenges it faces.
The course will be inaugurated on Monday at 11:00 am by Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation, Carmen Vela, and the president of the company, Elena Pisonero.
After the participation of more than 35 industry leading speakers at national and international levels, the closing of the meeting shall take place on Tuesday with the Director General of the European Space Agency (ESA), Jean Jaques Dordain and HISPASAT CEO Carlos Espinós.
The seminar is aimed at all professionals and students in matters related to space communications who want to understand the evolution of telecommunications and innovations that are incorporated into new satellites.
