PARTICIPATION IN FORUMS AND FAIRS

FORUMS AND ASSOCIATIONS

• Spanish Secretary of Information Society and Digital Agenda: HISPASAT collaborates with the secretary bilaterally and by participating in preparatory multilateral meetings for international conferences and forums that a ect the company.
In 2016, HISPASAT attended meetings focused on establishing a national position with regard to the agenda points for the upcoming World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-19) which will be held in 2019.

• The Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL): in Brazil, HISPASAT attended sessions of the Rapporteur Group on Radiocommunication 2 – Satellite services (GRR2), organised by the Agency.

• International Telecommunication Union (ITU): HISPASAT has participated in di erent ITU bodies and working groups, including:
a) ITU Council. HISPASAT participates in this Council, which constitutes the highest body of the organisation, as a guest of the Spanish government and as a member of the

radiocommunications sector and a satellite operator governed by Spanish law.

b) WP4A Group of ITU. HISPASAT participates in this group, which works to ensure that orbit-spectrum resources are used e ciently for xed satellite services and broadcast satellite services.

• Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL): HISPASAT Group participates in the Radiocommunications Committee (including radio broadcasting) PCC-II.
• European Conference on Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT): HISPASAT participates in the Electronic Communications Committee (ECC) and in the

Conference Preparatory Group (CPG) and its working groups.

• Inter-American Association of Telecommunication (ASIET): As an associate member of the Council, HISPASAT actively participates in its projects, primarily in the General Assembly, the Governing Board, Regulatory Commission and operators’ meetings.

• European Satellite Operators Association (ESOA): HISPASAT has collaborated on Council activities and in the association’s working groups. It participates periodically in meetings with the EU Commission.

• National Union of Satellite Telecommunication Companies of Brazil (SINDISAT): Through HISPAMAR, HISPASAT Group forms part of the management of the union and actively participates in its working groups, which establish joint commentary on ANATEL’s public consultations, among other activities.

• Brazilian Association of Satellite Companies (ABRASAT): Through HISPAMAR, HISPASAT Group forms part of the management of the Association and actively participates in its activities.

• Global VSAT Forum (GVF): The company participates in this forum comprised of the main members of the satellite communications industry.

• World Teleport Association (WTA): The company forms part of this association, which aims to help operators with control centres to maintain and expand their business.

• Madrid Aerospace Cluster: HISPASAT is a partner of this cluster, to which more than 50 innovative companies in the sector belong.

• European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI): HISPASAT attends the meetings of this institute, which is responsible for drawing up global standards related to information technology and communication.

• Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB): The company participates in meetings held by this organisation to promote internationally accepted TV standards.
• Space Data Association: HISPASAT participates eb this association that is in charge of the conservation of the space environment and spectrum of radiofrequences.

• Asociación Española de Tecnologías de Defensa, Aeronáutica y Espacio (TEDAE): HISPASAT Is a member of the association and is part of the Space Commission.

• SAT>IP Alliance: HISPASAT continued working in the executive committee and in different working groups formed for the study and promotion of the technology and on the direction to take, in addition to making business contacts with key clients.

FAIRS

For yet another year, HISPASAT has been present at the sector’s most important events, strengthening its commercial activities and the company’s image, both in the American and European continents.
In Europe, HISPASAT participated in the International Broadcast Convention (IBC) fair held annually in Amsterdam in September to demonstrate progress made in the eld of Ultra High De nition television, always seeking quality and flexibility in their satellite services. Also, HISPASAT participated in the European Digital Forum that celebrated annually in Lucca, Italy.
On the American continent, HISPASAT participated in the sector’s most important fair, the Washington Satellite, held in March, and in the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in Las Vegas in April. The company also actively participated in the LATSAT summit, organised by the consulting rm Euroconsult and held for its third year in Mexico.
In Latin America, HISPAMAR was also present in the main events of the telecommunications and satellite sector in the Latin American market. In August, the company participated in the SET Expo, a fair organised by the Brazilian Television Engineering Society. HISPAMAR also took part in ANDICOM, the main telecommunications sector event in Colombia
In Río de Janeiro, Brazil, the company attended the 16th Latin American Satellite Conference, held in September, in which the top executives
of Brazilian operators meet, representing international groups, defence agencies, government o cials and important clients in the satellite market.
In October, HISPASAT participated in Futurecom, the sector’s largest and most important international fair in Latin America, and in November, in SSPI Brazil, an event organised by the International Society of Satellite Professionals
