Advancements in the Process Management model

In order to reinforce the team-work culture and transversal vision of the Company, in addition to making management more efficient, HISPASAT has developed an organisational model based on process management, with a coherent, systematic approach towards the fundamental concepts of company excellence, all with the final aim of promoting collaboration between different organisational areas, thereby guaranteeing results that respond to the needs of HISPASAT interest groups.

The processes involved are represented schematically in a flow chart (or process tree), which together, constitutes a Process Model that forms the basis for the development of process maps corresponding to each one of the companies in the Group.

In fiscal year 2014, work focused on consolidating the organisational model and the procedure for continual improvement, as well as on the quest to make everything already up and running more efficient. The transfer and implementation of the HISPAMAR Satélites model is particularly noteworthy, since it enabled this company to obtain ISO 9001 certification. The Group has meanwhile continued to work on launching new procedures and tools with which to facilitate an Integrated Management System in the forthcoming fiscal year, which, in addition to the quality aspects certified under norm ISO 9001, furthermore includes the requirements set out by ISO 27000 certification on Information Security and OHSAS 18001 certification on Health and Safety in the workplace.
