The ethical conduct of our employees is very important to the HISPASAT Group, which expects all of its professionals to behave according to the highest ethical standards, governed by the desire to do the right thing. From this perspective, and in the context that the Mission, vision and values of the Group provides, HISPASAT has prepared and approved a Code of Conduct for the Group (version 2012).
The ethical principles included in the Code are the foundation upon which all employees of the HISPASAT Group should base their decision making, being responsible for contributing to its fulfilment through their daily behaviour. The goal is that all professionals, no matter what their title or level of responsibility, are aware of the implications, privileges and responsibilities that go hand in hand with working for one of the benchmark satellite operators at the international level.
Continuing with HISPASAT's objective to develop best practices, and given that since July 2013 HISPASAT has been a company of the Abertis Group, HISPASAT's Board of Directors, which met on 16 December, agreed to adopt the Ethical Code established by the Abertis Group. As a result of this action, the Abertis Group's Ethical Code will now be applied to all HISPASAT employees. With regard to the HISPASAT Group's Ethical Code from September 2012, all aspects of the Code that do not contradict the Abertis Group's Ethical Code will remain effective. In the event of a conflict between the two codes, the Abertis Group's Ethical Code shall be applied.
