MADRID, 02 July 2018. HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite-based telecommunications operator, will once again this year be the technological sponsor of the 2018 Summer Courses organised by the Complutense University of Madrid which are held between 2 and 27 July in the El Escorial - María Cristina Royal University Centre.

Once again HISPASAT is collaborating with the Complutense University providing a technological solution which allows the television signals to be broadcast through a satellite link. This service can be used by information services and television programmes in order to send images and news about the current course topics which are created and distributed by the Complutense University TV production company (UCMTV).

This service will be provided through the Hispasat 30W-6 (H30W-6) satellite. This new HISPASAT satellite, launched in March, is already operating from its orbital position in 30º West and began offering telecommunications services on 26 June. With a useful life of 15 years, the H30W-6 will also offer video contribution and cellular backhaul services, as well as business solutions and broadband internet in its coverage areas: Europe, North-east Africa and the American continent.
