MADRID, 8 March 2021. HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator of the Red Eléctrica Group, is convening the fifth edition of the HISPASAT Female Engineer Scholarship. This scholarship is intended to finance the postgraduate studies of a qualifying master’s degree in Aeronautics or Telecommunications Engineering related to the aerospace sector.
The HISPASAT “Female Engineer” Scholarship is offered each year and it aims to promote the presence of talented women in technology. By offering this scholarship, the company aims to contribute to women’s professional development and to help them join the space sector, where women have long been under-represented.
The scholarship consists of a 5,000 Euro economic grant which will be dedicated to paying the tuition of the postgraduate course that the winner enrols in and other justified expenses associated to her studies.
The application period for the 2021-2022 scholarship starts today, 8 March, and will remain open until 17 May. The winner of the scholarship contest will be made public on 15 June. The terms and conditions are available on HISPASAT’s website.
