Hispasat, together with its network of partners, has developed a comprehensive solution for providing satellite-based distance learning services in remote areas.

The solution is based on a combination of hardware and software complemented by satellite connectivity. It is designed for schools located in remote areas with difficult access to terrestrial telecommunications infrastructure, where satellite connectivity is the only option.

The solution involves the integration of seven components:

  • Satellite internet access and distance learning server
  • Adjustment and equipment of the digital classroom
  • Program for digital transformation and technological appropriation in the rural community
  • Community internet access via WiFi HotSpot
  • Monitoring and control dashboard for the Public Administration
  • Electrical power equipment
  • Deployment and installation, technical support, and maintenance
Benefits:
  • Ensures that the rural school community has the necessary tools to begin a transformation process that will allow them to reduce the digital divide in education.
  • Facilitates the digital transformation of the entire rural community, approaching the process in a cross-cutting and comprehensive manner.
  • Ensures coordinated deployment in remote and hard-to-reach environments.
  • Ensures scaling tailored to the needs of each school, optimizing government resources and guaranteeing equitable service for all students.
  • Optimizes project costs by finding economic synergies in the deployment and operation of all components by a single operator and at the same time.
  • Provides the Public Administration with an online application to monitor and control the community's use of the solution, allowing for the creation of a permanent communication channel with the educational community and its rural environment.
