The operator will award an annual scholarship to a female engineer to complete her postgraduate studies in the aerospace sector.
The company aims to foster the talent of women in the areas of engineering, aiming to have more of them working in this sector in the future.
Madrid, 25 April 2017.- HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator, has opened the application period for a scholarship that will help a female engineer complete her postgraduate studies towards a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Telecommunications in the aerospace sector.
The HISPASAT “Female Engineer” scholarship, which will be awarded annually, aims to foster the presence of female talent in the technology field and thus contribute to the professional development of women in these areas of study, as well as increase the number of women in the space sector.
The scholarship consists of five thousand euros in financial aid that will pay the tuition fees of the postgraduate course that the winner is enrolled in and, if applicable, other course-related expenses.
The scholarship application period for the 2017-2018 academic year begins today, 25 April, and ends on 26 May. Application guidelines are available on the HISPASAT website www.hispasat.com.
